The Golden Pi Triangle: How abc = 64 Completes the Eye of Horus

One Triangle, Three Discoveries

Consider a right triangle built from a single number: Golden Pi, the true circle constant π = 4/√φ = 3.144606...

Let the legs be:

a = Golden Pi = 4/√φ ≈ 3.144606
b = 4
c = √(a² + b²) ≈ 5.088079

Now multiply the three sides together:

abc = (4/√φ) · 4 · √(a² + b²)
    = (4/√φ) · 4 · 4√φ
    = 64

Exactly 64. No approximation, no error term. The √φ in the denominator of a cancels the √φ that emerges in c, leaving a clean power of two.

This single construction unites three pillars of sacred geometry: the golden ratio φ, the Great Pyramid's slope, and the Eye of Horus.


1. The Sides Form a Golden Geometric Progression

The three side lengths are not arbitrary. They form a geometric progression with common ratio √φ:

a = 4/√φ        (Golden Pi)
b = 4           = a · √φ
c = 4√φ         = a · φ

b/a = √φ = 1.27202
c/b = √φ = 1.27202

The set collapses to {a, a√φ, aφ} — a golden geometric progression. The same ratio √φ = 1.27202 appears twice, and that ratio is the ancient seked of the Great Pyramid: 7 rise to 5.5 run = 1.2727 ≈ √φ.

The right triangle's internal proportions are the pyramid's slope.


2. The Emergent Angle Is the Pyramid's Face Angle

Every right triangle has two acute angles. The complement angle of this triangle:

atan(a/b) = atan(1/√φ) = 38.173°
Complement = 90° − 38.173° = 51.827°

Compare to the Great Pyramid's face angle (seked of 5.5 palms):

Difference:                       0.016°  (under one arcminute)

The same triangle that resolves to abc = 64 reproduces the Great Pyramid's 51.84° face slope to within an arcminute. The geometry is not merely symbolic — it is the exact angle encoded in stone.


3. It Completes the Eye of Horus Exactly

The Eye of Horus fractions are six unit fractions, each a successive power of ½:

1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16 + 1/32 + 1/64 = 63/64

They famously stop at 63/64, missing the final 1/64 — the "magical" remainder the god Thoth was said to supply.

Now observe the number produced by the Golden Pi triangle:

abc = 64 = 2⁶

The Eye of Horus reaches 63 and requires the divine 1/64. The Golden Pi triangle reaches 64 exactly, algebraically — the √φ terms annihilate each other. It supplies the very missing piece the Eye leaves open.

Where the Eye encodes a binary world that falls short of the whole, the Golden Pi construction reaches the whole in one closed, irrational stroke.


The Synthesis

One right triangle links three independently-derived systems:

Golden Pi (4/√φ)  ──►  pyramid face angle (51.84°)  ──►  abc = 64 = 2⁶

The √φ slope ratio is the common spine running through all three. It generates the triangle's proportions, reproduces the pyramid's face angle, and cancels to yield 64.

This is the first truly closed-form result in the Golden Pi programme: an irrational construction that lands precisely on a power of two — completing the ancient Eye of Horus that binary fractions could only approach.
